My hotel in Berlin was near the Berliner Dom, so I used to walk by in the morning and in the evening every day for a week. The Dom is simply amazing at dusk when the whole walls enlighten in a gold color with the last sun rays of the day !

I agree with you for the taste: Ladurée wins. But for the shopping experience, I’ve been to Ladurée rue Royale and Pierre Hermé St-Germain (Ladurée’s queue was much longer !) and I definitely prefer Pierre Hermé. The store was much younger and more modern, as Ladurée was more classic and girly. But when it comes to fancy desserts, aren’t the girls the ones to please ?

Dang, three times in four months?! It actually looks really cute; I can’t wait until our housesit in France (in a tiny village w/ 64 people near-ish Toulouse) — I’m already dreaming of all the cheese and wine we’ll be eating.
