Monday’s Postcard: Autumn in the Eastern Townships

Posted on 17. Oct, 2011 by in Travel

I know this is supposed to be a Europe-focused blog, but no matter where I am in the fall, I can’t help it: I miss the Quebec fall colors so much! All of Eastern America is renowned for its spectacular scenery in October, but I have a soft spot for my home province. Two years ago, I went on a wine route in the beautiful Eastern Townships region in Southern Quebec and loved every minute of it - the foliage, the tasty wines, the nature, the local products. It was a great activity and I recommend it to anyone visiting Quebec in the fall.

This particular shot was taken at Le domaine du Ridge, in Saint-Armand. The particular domain reminded me of England, and if you know me just the slightest little bit, you know this little reminiscence made me truly happy.

Autumn in Quebec

Have you ever seen the famous autumn foliage in Quebec or Eastern America? What is your favorite fall activity? Have you ever been on a wine route before?
