Monday’s Postcard: Grenada, Spain
Posted on 27. Jun, 2011 by Marie in Travel
This week brings us in the beautiful Andalusia region in Southern Spain, where I have been lucky enough to visit a few times.
The Alhambra is an amazing attraction, not just for its beauty itself but also because of its location and history. Built to be both a royal residence and a fortress, it is today one of the most important piece of Muslim architecture outside the Middle East. The fine details of the arches, the grandeur of the gardens and the imagination behind every section of the Alhambra are certainly worth the visit, as well as the incredible views on the city of Grenada, the Albayzin and the Sierra Nevadas mountains nearby.
