Although I do not have any tangible travel plans yet, I do have, however, a lot of time on my hands to daydream about places I haven’t been on my last trip. I was hard not to include places I have already been that I would gladly return to, so I decided to make a separate list for these lovelies, that I will share at another time.

Here are, in no particular order, the 10 places I’m most looking forward to visit (notice how this list is not filled with UK destinations? are you just as proud of me as I am?)

  1. Cape St-Vincent, Portugal
  2. Rye, England, UK
  3. Mont Saint-Michel, France
  4. Ring of Kerry, Ireland
  5. Alcazar, Spain
  6. Heidelberg, Germany
  7. Bruges, Belgium
  8. Dubrovnik, Croatia
  9. Copenhagen, Denmark
  10. Stirling, Scotland, UK

I better start to collect Air Miles right about now, eh? (or talk the fiancé into searching European employment opportunities… will work on that).

  3. You have a good choice of places..I have been to Spain and trust me its the wonderful place among my all destination travel..
    I have been to
    Spain
    Italy
    France
    Russia
    Canada
    England
But the best I found Spain..

I’ve been wanting to check out Carcassonne…a small town in Southern France surrounded by medieval walls. And I missed out on the French Riveria when I backpacked around Europe so I’ll definitely be hitting that up when I go back. And of course you always regret not checking out Scandinavia when you’re in Europe…

  5. Marie says:

So many places, so little time! I also regret not visiting Scandinavia, especially Copenhagen.

I lived in the UK for a couple of years and used all the cheap flights I could find to travel :-) I visited a few places on your list: Cape St-Vincent and the Algarve this summer: I loved the Algarve but Cape St-Vincent was a bit blah… Sorry :-( Ring of Kerry and Dingle peninsula were amazing. I would go back tomorrow. Alcazar: Is there anything bad to say about Spain? Bruges: what a pretty town. But I prefered Delf. Same kind of atmosphere and look, but less tourists. Copenhagen is awesome! I want to go back. Stirling: well, I am in love with Scotland so I’m not objective. Stirling was very nice.

    Thank you for your comment!
And for the input. Nothing like another traveller’s two cents to make up our mind about a destination. You seem to have travelled quite a bit!

  8. Veronique says:

I lived in Portsmouth, UK, for 2 years so every 6 weeks or so, we would take the cheapest flight available, no matter the destination, and go :-)

  9. The only one of your list I’ve been to is Copenhagen -loved it, the Danish are so cool and fun loving & you must cycle everywhere. Want to go back again in the summer. See my recent review of the lovely Avenue Hotel where I stayed

  10. Marie says:

Copenhagen seems like it has the whole cool, Amstermdam-ish vibe, you know? Seems like a really peaceful place to be.

I’m going to read your review!

  11. My wish is to visit Heidelberg, Germany….this is bcz, i have some sweet childhood memories attached with this place…

  12. Lauren says:

I haven’t seen any of these places! Have you been to Australia? If not, I have lots of recommendations for you there!
